05/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has granted clearance to the joint venture between two Dutch companies, ABN AMRO Bank NV (a financial services provider) and Delta Lloyd NV (a financial services and insurance company, part of the UK Aviva group). Delta Lloyd will pay ABN AMRO EUR 262.5 million in cash, corresponding to 51% of the joint venture. ABN AMRO will transfer its insurance business (with the exception of sales and marketing) to the joint venture.
