05/05/2003 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, sent a telegram of condolences last week tot the President of the Republic of Turkey, Ahmet Necdet Sezer, following the earthquake that recently claimed many victims in Bingöl, in the south-east of the country. The High Representative for CFSP, Javier Solana, in a telephone conversation with Foreign Affairs Minister Abdullah Gül, expressed the EU's readiness to make the necessary aid available.
