Brussels, 02/04/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Wednesday, the European Commission authorised State aid to the Caraïbes Air Transport (CAT) company to allow it to develop links in the Caribbean area. CAT may thus purchase a regional transport aircraft, with a 34% discount, to be used on several links. The aid comes under the general overseas tax aid scheme to promote investment in the outermost regions, approved by the Commission for the French overseas departments in November 2001.
