Romano Prodi in Rome Friday

Brussels, 28/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, was in Rome on 28 March for meetings with the Italian authorities for preparations for the Italian Presidency of the Council of the European Union, beginning 1 July, indicated the Commission spokesperson Reijo Kemppinen. Romano Prod is expected to meet with Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi and the President of the Republic, Carlo Azglio Ciampi (see EUROPE 27 March p 6) in relation to the EP...
