European Network Against Racism criticises agreement on family reunification

Brussels, 07/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European network Against Racism (ENAR) expresses "its regrets" regarding the "particularly alarming" political agreement on family reunification, during the JHA Council of 27 February. ENAR, which represents more than 600 NGOs believes that the agreement runs "contrary to fundamental principles set out in the European Convention for the Protection of Human rights and the International Convention on the Rights of the Child".
