Brussels, 07/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - As of 1 June, Equadorian nationals will require a visa to enter the EU, whatever the length of their stay. At the moment they are exempt for visits of under three months. The Council confirmed the political agreement of the 19 and 20 December JHA Council on Thursday. The Commission had proposed this decision at the end of November, on Spain's request (see EUROPE of 13 November).
