Brussels, 03/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - In Brussels on 5 March Commissioner Viviane Reding will officially launch the PLOTEUS Portal on learning opportunities throughout the European Space. PLOTEUS means navigator in Ancient Greek. It is a new Commission service, see http://www.ploteus.net
The Portal is divided into five sections: 1) Learning Opportunities with links to high education institutions and professional training databases and institutes; 2) Education Systems, with detailed information about national education and training systems and similar issues; 3) Exchange, outlining opportunities to get involved in exchange programmes; 4) Contact details for guidance centres; and 5) Moving to a Country, outlining opportunities available in the various countries (accommodation, social security, etc).
