03/03/2003 (Agence Europe) - On Friday the Council approved a decision on Norway and Iceland being associated with the 1995 Convention on a simplified extradition procedure between Member States, and the 1996 convention on extradition between EU Member States. Norway and Iceland will be involved in implementing the conventions when they come into force since they are an extension of the Schengen acquis in which the two countries are associated.
