Alcan can buy out FlexPac

Brussels, 25/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the takeover of FlexPac, the flexible packaging division of Hydro Aluminium (subsidiary of Hydro Aluminium Deutschland GmbH, a wholly owned subsidiary of Norsk Hydro ASA of Norway) by Alcan of Canada. The notification of the proposal foresees FlexPac merging with Alcan's own packaging division, once the operation is approved.
