Brussels, 21/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Parliament's Committee on Citizens' Freedoms and Rights has adopted the report by Hubert Pirker (EPP-Austria) on synthetic drugs, which mainly asks the EU to avail itself of a regulation, that is immediately applicable in the Member States, rather than a directive, and that the European Parliament should have the right of codecision in this connection.
