Commission green paper on standardisation of suspects' rights in penal matters

Brussels, 18/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The Commission will this Wednesday adopt a green paper on penal guarantees granted to suspects and those implicated in legal procedures within the European Union. It intends to launch a debate on the usefulness and the content of common rules on the right to legal assistance and other attendant rights.
