Admiral Feist is formally appointed Commander in Chief of future EU mission in Macedonia

Brussels, 10/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council has approved, by written procedure, the appointment of Admiral Feist (D-SACEUR or NATO's Deputy Supreme Commander) as EU Operation Commander for the EU's force in the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Allied Harmony. The Council also approved the appointment of SHAPE (Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers in Europe) as headquarters for EU operations.
