10/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - In a press release, UEAPME, the SME employers' association, call on the European Convention to include instruments in the Treaty to enable the tax policy to be reformed. Ahead of a paper for the Convention expected to be adopted at the SME Summit in Rome on 7/8 March, UEAPM has decided to prioritise taxation and is expected to argue for tax policy to be decided by qualified majority voting.
