Société Générale's acquisition of Hertz Lease cleared

Brussels, 10/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has cleared the proposed acquisition of the European car rental business of Hertz Lease by French bank Société Générale from Ford Motor Company. The Axus International Hertz Lease Europe group comprises 15 companies. The Commission's investigation identified overlaps between the activities of Société Générale and Hertz Lease in certain European countries regarding the provision of long term company rental and fleet...
