Brussels, 10/02/2003 (Agence Europe) - Last Thursday, without debate, the Education Council adopted a decision approving the scientific and technological cooperation agreement between the EU and Ukraine signed on 4 July 2002 in Copenhagen. The technological and scientific cooperation between the EU and Ukraine in various fields (environment, health, agriculture, non-nuclear energy, transport, information technology) mainly provides for the participation by Ukrainian researchers in Community projects and vice versa, as well as access to the respective research installations, the organisation of seminars and symposia, the exchange of scientific staff and the sharing of information on legislation and research programmes.
