French company SUEZ has put the British water distribution company NORTHUMBRIAN WATER up for sale (turnover £252.3 million during the first half of 2002), of which it holds 83% of the share capital. Two buyers are bidding: ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND and WESTLB for a price of between 3 and 4 billion euros.
