17/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - At the European Forum on world heritage cities held on 17 January in Luxembourg, the Commissioner for Culture, Viviane Reding, announced that in the Culture 2000 programme, the EU had decided to award a Heritage Prize for exemplary initiatives and highlight the competencies of individuals and organisations in the area of conservation and cultural heritage assessment in Europe.
