17/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - By adopting a resolution on Equatorial-Guinea on Thursday, the European Parliament calls for the instigation of a genuine peace process and the strengthening of the rule of law in the country. It urges the government to grant a general amnesty for members of the opposition and to instantly free all political prisoners. The Council and Commission are urged to be firm in their relations with the government of Equatorial-Guinea.
