Nassauer initiative for German foundations

Brussels, 09/01/2003 (Agence Europe) - CDU member of the EP, Harmut Nassauer announced that at the European Parliament plenary in Strasbourg next week, he would launch an initiative aimed at drawing attention to the trials currently ongoing against the main German foundations active in Turkey, accused of espionage and encouragement to separatism. The Commission must look into this affair, as the conduct of the Turkish authorities does not comply with the Copenhagen criteria, he said,...
