Council allows Spain use EUR 120 million for fishermen suffering from effects of "Prestige" sinking

Brussels, 20/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, the Fisheries Council adopted without debate a new regulation that will allow Spain to re-programme EUR 120 million in structural aid for helping fishermen, aquaculture and shellfish breeders in Galicia, whose activities have been affected by the consequences of the sinking of the oil tanker, the "Prestige".
