16/12/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to estimates published by Eurostat on 12 December, seasonally adjusted production figures in the construction business fell by 0.8% in the euro zone and 0.2% in the Union (EU15) in the third quarter 2002 compared to the second quarter 2002. Production in the construction sector thus fell for the third consecutive time in both the euro zone and the EU15: respectively -1.5% and -1.0% in the second quarter after -0.6% and - 0.3% in the first quarter 2002.
