29/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Swedish Prime Minister Persson announced on Friday that there would be a referendum in Sweden on 14 September 2003 on the adoption of the Euro. The date was decided after a meeting with party leaders at the Riksdag. They will be meeting again on 17 December to give their decisions on a document on the issue and study the redistribution of public funds allocated to pro and anti adoption camps. This will also involve thinking about the issue of letting foreigners residing in Sweden for at least three years can vote, as had been the case in the referendum on joining the EU in 1994.
