Fabrizio Barbaso and Dirk Ahner appointed Deputy Directors General in DG Agriculture

Brussels, 20/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Tuesday, the European Commission decided to appoint two new Deputy Directors General at DG Agriculture. Fabrizio Barbaso, a 53-year-old official of Italian nationality, who was previously an administrator in DG Industry, will be responsible for institutional relations, communication and quality, markets for plants and animal products as well as specialised crops, vineyards and wine products.
