12/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Union is planning to suspend imports of animal derived products from Brazil following the discovery of cases of foot and mouth disease in areas of Brazil bordering Paraguay. The targeted products include boned and dried beef meats from the region of Sete Quadas. Monitoring measures have also been set up to prevent the outbreak contaminating Brazilian cattle.
