Green initiative for freedom of the press

Brussels, 12/11/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Greens/EFA Group jointly headed by Daniel Cohn-Bendit and Monica Frassoni is organising for 13 November at the European Parliament, in Brussels, a conference on freedom of the press in the EU. It will then put an oral question to the Commission on 18 November in Strasbourg. Mr Cohn-Bendit denounces the concentration of the media which threatens pluralism in Italy, in the United Kingdom and in some candidate countries, and Ms Frassoni stresses that,...
