Brussels, 11/10/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Transnational Radical Party and Radical members of the European Parliament are organising a conference at the European Parliament in Brussels on 15 and 16 October, in particular with the International anti-Prohibitionist League, on "assessing the impact of the prohibitionist war against drugs" and the reform of the UN conventions in the matter, a press release announces.
Among the participants will be: MEPs Marco Pannella, Maurizio Turco (Radicals) and Chris Davies (Liberal), as well as Liliana Brykman of the European Commission, Georges Estiévenart of the European Monitoring Centre for Drug Addiction, the Colombian ambassador to Belgium, Roberto Arenas Bonilla, and parliamentarians from ten countries (including Uruguay, Costa Rica and Lithuania). The conclusions will be drawn by Italian Radical Marco Cappato MEP.
