Luxembourg, 30/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - According to two reports published on 29 August by Eurostat, 161.3 million people had a job in the EU in spring 2001, 2.3 million more than in spring 2000. The employment rate therefore went from 63.2% in 2000 to 63.9% in 2001. The employment rate of women increased from 53.9% to 54.8%.
