Brussels, 30/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - After five days of intensive technical discussions by the delegates of nearly 200 countries, the Second World Summit on Sustainable Development moved into the political phase. European Commission President Romano Prodi and Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström flew to Johannesburg on Thursday to strengthen the Union delegation in this decisive stage of the negotiations.
