01/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - A spokesman from the United Nations has announced that the Secretary General of the United Nations, Kofi Annan is expected to meet Glafcos Clerides and Rauf Denktash Greek and Turkish leaders respectively, in Cyprus on 6 September. The invitation was "accepted by both leaders… and is intended to review the situation and see if progress can be made", according to the Reuters agency in Nicosia.
