Laying down new international measures in Community law for protecting stocks of highly migratory fish

Brussels, 01/08/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission has recently adopted two proposals that aim to lay down in community law the measures taken by the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic tunas (ICCAT) to better protect certain stocks of highly migratory fish stocks. The provisions taken by the Regional Fishing Organisation (RFO) are calling for the following Community amendments to be made:
