24/07/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EU Council approved the despatch of a letter to announce to the Union of the Comores that the EU is willing to resume cooperation after recent elections, the constitutional referendum last December and the signature in February 2002 of a framework agreement on national reconciliation. The EU states it is willing to help the Comores on the road to development and reconciliation.
