17/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - In response to the mandate of the Barcelona Summit in March 2002, the European Commission (DG Education/Culture) last week organised a conference with representatives of the EU15, the EEA and social partners on how to improve, through enhanced cooperation, the quality and performance of education and training systems. The aim is for citizens to be able to use their training as "common currency" throughout Europe by 2010. (Conclusions are available on website...
