17/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - On the occasion of the second European Business Summit, held early June in Brussels on the theme of enlargement and sustainable development (see EUROPE of 6 and 7 June, p.13), Lajos Nyiri (Zinnia Group, Hungry) insisted in his speech on the importance of developing a society based on knowledge through education and on liberalising the employment market by encouraging immigration of high qualified workers trained in information and communication technologies. He also called on candidate countries to adjust their education systems to the requirements of the labour market.
