Strasbourg, 13/06/2002 (Agence Europe) - By adopting through 399 votes in favour, 111 against and 25 abstentions, the report by its former President, Jose Maria Gil-Robles (Spanish, EPP), the European Parliament provided its assent to amending the Act of 20 September 1976 on the election of EP representatives through universal suffrage.
