On 28 May the European Commission adopted, after several delays, the Commissioner of Agriculture and Fisheries' Communication on reform of the Common Fishing Policy (see EUROPE 29 May page 9 on Frank Fischler's press conference and EUROPE 30 May page 12 on the debate on these proposals at the European Parliament). Given the breadth of the proposed reform and the polemic it has created, we consider it useful re-examine the Chapter on the "Time-table on the implementation of the reform"...
