Solana meets Fisher and "Quartet"

Brussels, 30/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - Javier Solana's new mission to the Middle East began on Wednesday evening in Cairo where he met Special Envoy William Burns (see EUROPE of 29 May, p.7). On Friday evening, in, Tel Aviv, Mr Solana will meet the German Minister for Foreign Affairs, Joschka Fischer. On Saturday evening, he will be at a working dinner in Jerusalem with the Special Envoys of the "Quartet" (the EU, the USA, Russia and the UN).
