Loan to Cardine Banca in Italy

Luxembourg, 28/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EIB has granted an overall loan of EUR 237 million to Cardine Banca SpA, the parent company of a medium-sized Italian group well established in deposit and lending franchises in central and north-eastern Italy. The loan is intended for SMEs in industry and services and for small and medium-sized projects in infrastructure, energy and protection of the environment.
