Council reaches political agreement on "traditional" public procurement directive

Brussels, 21/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Internal Market Council reached a political agreement on the traditional "public procurement" directive on coordinating procedures for the awarding of contracts between Member States. The United Kingdom, Ireland and Finland were opposed to the agreement, adopted by qualified majority. (EUROPE will come back to this).
