02/05/2002 (Agence Europe) - On Friday, regional members of the "EU Region of the Future" signed a declaration calling for regions to support co-operation between member regions. These regions include the Austrian laender of Burgenland, Carinthia and Styria, the Italian regions of Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Veneto, as well as the Hungarian counties of Baranya, Györ-Moson-Sopron, Somaogy, Tolna, Vas and Zala and Croatian and Slovenian regions participating in the initiative.
