19/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is granting 350,000 euro in aid to the victims of the floods that struck South eastern Brazil in January and February. Food and other essential aid will be supplied to over 6,000 people who have remained without shelter, in a very poor region were most services and infrastructures were destroyed. Aid will, in particular, allow for access to drinking water and basic medical services.
