Commission grants Serbia EUR 36 million

Brussels, 12/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has approved EUR 35.9 million in aid to Serbia, in the context of a global humanitarian aid programme for 2002 and early 2003. Financed by ECHO, the programme will make it possible to continue assisting refugees, displaced persons and other vulnerable groups in the population. Nearly half of these funds will go to meet the basic needs of the most vulnerable (food and hygiene, fuel and firewood, healthcare, housing, generalised access to...
