Commission begins second stage of inquiry into takeover of P&O Princess by Carnival Corporation

Brussels, 12/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has decided to open an indepth inquiry into the proposed acquisition by the British cruise organiser P&O Princess by its American counterpart Carnival Corporation. With a fleet of around 40 liners, Carnival is specialised in maritime cruises and operates Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Costa Cruises, Cunard Line, Seabourn Cruise Line and Winstar Cruises, which cover destinations around the world, with a fleet of 20 cruise...
