12/04/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Commission has launched infringement proceedings against 8 Member States (Luxembourg , Portugal, Italy, Ireland, Greece, Spain and Germany) for not providing the Commission with the data on their CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions for 2000 that is needed for monitoring progress in combating climate change under the Kyoto Protocol.
