07/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The EPP-DE group in the European Parliament, presided by Hans-Gert Pöttering, held a meeting on 6 March in Brussels with Arab countries' ambassadors to the EU. The delegation was headed by Nassir Alassaf, Ambassador from Saudi Arabia. At the end of the meeting Mr Pöttering indicated that he would suggest creating a permanent liaison organisation between the EP and the Arab ambassadors, to Pat Cox. The meeting was arranged on the initiative of MEP, Tokia Saïfi.
