Brussels, 07/03/2002 (Agence Europe) - The European Commission is making available to displaced persons inside Uganda (in the Gulu district, in the north) aid of 420,000 euro that should, in particular, help prevent a major health crisis due to acute water and sanitation shortages. The aid, channelled through Echo, will serve to finance projects to combat malaria and Ebola. This intervention carries Echo's humanitarian assistance to Uganda to 1.3 million euro since early-2001
