19/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - The Council has given its assent, under Article 55 of the ECSC Treaty, to European Commission financial aid of EUR 20 million for "coal" research projects. The projects are partly aimed at health, safety and improved working conditions in mines and, on the other hand, the environmental impact of mining techniques and the use of coal.
