19/02/2002 (Agence Europe) - Following he Education and Youth council in November 2001, the Council has formally adopted: 1) the Resolution to promote linguistic diversity and language learning, within the framework of the European Year of Languages 2001 objectives; 2) the Avis of the Council concerning education and training issues within the Decision of the Council Proposal on the Member States Employment Policy guidelines for 2002; 3) the Conclusions on the follow-up to the report on the future concrete objectives on education and training systems with a view to elaborating a joint Commission/Council report for presentation to the Spring 2002 Council; 4) the Resolution on the additional contribution by voluntary youth services in developing Community action aimed at young people.
