Association Agreement to be initialled in Brussels on Thursday

Brussels, 09/01/2002 (Agence Europe) - The President of the European Commission, Romano Prodi, and the Lebanese Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, will initial a new EU-Lebanon Association Agreement in Brussels on Thursday. On Wednesday, a Commission spokesperson said it was an important step in the direction of setting up a huge EuroMediterranean free trade zone.
