Political agreements in view of public participation in environmental projects, and petrol without sulphur - political debate on future CO2 emissions market

Brussels, 11/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - The last Environment Council to be chaired by Magda Alvoet will be held in Brussels on Wednesday 12 December and will have a tight agenda, although few formal decisions are to be taken. Political agreements are expected on two issues only - the directive relating to public participation in environmental plans and programmes, and the revision of the directive on the reduction of the level of sulphur in petrol and diesel fuels.
