Athens, 11/12/2001 (Agence Europe) - Greece is still asking for the text negotiated by the United Kingdom, the United States and Turkey so as to break the deadlock between the EU and NATO on the use of Alliance assets in the framework of ESDP (see yesterday's EUROPE, p.5 and 8 December, p4) to be amended. "We shall not accept the text in its current form, changes need making for our national interests to be preserved", declared a spokesperson for the Greek Government on Tuesday, stipulating that Greece would face this issue "in the same way" at the Laeken Summit that will have to decide on the question.
